Charles Yang

Charles Yang is a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University's College of Engineering. He is actively involved with the Structures and Payloads Subteam on the Cornell University Unmanned Air Systems Team, where he recently completed a comprehensive redesign of the landing gear system for the team's fixed-wing VTOL aircraft. With a background as President of his high school's Engineering Club and a dedicated member of the robotics team, Charles brings a wealth of experience to his current projects. He has also co-authored a publication introducing the Orthovolute, a new geometric concept that describes a locus of points relative to two curves associated with a given curve. Charles is passionate about empowering and inspiring high school students to excel and set ambitious goals.
